Google's Environmental mapping provides data from satalite imagery analysis, such as tree canopy coverage for your region, that can help establish a current baseline and show expansion/contraction of the urban forest, opportunities for planting more trees and inequeties in existing canopy coverage. This information is critical in advocating and planning for greater investments in the urban forest.
